Creative Contract Packaging Corporation Product Recall Information

*This recall does not include Herb-Ox® Bouillon Cube items.

Please be advised that under the guidance of the Food and Drug Administration ("FDA"), Basic Food Flavor, Inc. ("Basic") has issued a recall for all Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein ("HVP") dry powder manufactured by Basic on or after September 17, 2009, due to a positive test result for Salmonella in a Basic production lot. Our records indicate that some of the HVP being recalled by Basic was used as an ingredient in Herb-Ox® items identified below. We have developed this Web site to help you determine if any Herb-Ox® products you have are part of this recall.

To determine if you have a product that is affected, please locate the UPC number and the code date of the product you have.

Consumers: The UPC number and code date can be found on the package. If you need help finding this information, please call our Consumer Response department at 1-877-446-7635. Our Consumer Response representatives are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT Monday through Friday. Consumers who have purchased these products should not consume them. Instead we are asking that consumers return these products to their grocer for a full refund.

Retailers/FS Distributors: The carton code and code date can be found on the box that the product was shipped in and on the actual package itself. If you need help with finding this information, please call our Consumer Response department at 1-800-866-7757. Our Consumer Response representatives are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT Monday through Friday. Retailers or distributors that have purchased the product should destroy it, and claim credit for the merchandise though their normal channels.
